It is made to be paired with Allen-Bradley servo motors that can be different types: low-inertia, food grade, and stainless steel.

The 2094-BMP5 can also operate with compatible linear actuators. For fast diagnostics, there are LED signal lamps to show the activity of this axis controller and its communication status, working status, and bus voltage status. The Allen-Bradley 2094-BMP5 accepts feedback from the servo motor and it controls and recalculates the control signal that is sent to the motor several times per second. It monitors motor behavior, adapts to it, and it prevents damage when it detects high currents or high temperatures. This axis module is fan-cooled, and it must be installed with enough clearance above and below it to enable efficient air flow through the module.
